Every summer, SCAIR hosts the Summertime Gathering & Workshops for Tribal TANF participants and their families — our annual gathering to encourage family togetherness.
Leading up to the gathering day, SCAIR hosts pre-workshops focusing on safety, mindfulness, certifications, and confidence. The Summertime Gathering follows at the Santee Lakes Recreational Preserve, opening with a blessing, traditional drums, and a keynote speaker.
What to expect
- Traditional blessing, drums, and a keynote speaker

- Kids' yoga, sack races, and family games
- Information tables with community partners
- Lakeside afternoon at the Splashground
